This is Renault’s Alaskan concept – a preview to the French brand’s new on-tonne pickup which will arrive in the first half of next year.
We suspect these 21-inch wheel might not make it to the production version but nevertheless the Alaskan looks tough (and not surprisingly reminiscent of the all-new NP300 Navara from joint venture partner Nissan).
And Renault says its first pickup will, like the Navara, be powered by a twin-turbocharged engine.
Although we’re told to expect a range of body types and powertrains catering for both the recreational and commercial markets.
With pickups now racking-up more than one-third of total LCV sales, the production version of the Alaskan will be vital for Renault – the European market leader for commercial vehicles.
