Mine is the auto turbo diesel, done 75000k at present. Brake rotors have been replaced twice under warranty for massive shudder when braking for long downhill roads. Intercooler pipes keep coming loose and banging on body at ignition start up and stop.seats in the front are the worst seats i have ever encountered, no thigh or lumbar support, and together with the lack of any reach adjustment on the steering column, it is not a great place to be ever. The auto trans has no idea how to change gear at the right time. Torque comes on too high in the rev range to allow good fuel economy or quiet driving. Servicing costs on these cars are ridiculous and parts are over priced for what should be cheap motoring. This experience won't happen twice for me. This is not the first time i have bought new vehicles, and not the first time things have had to be repaired under warranty. My belief is that these vans look the part, but deliver little.
you will pay too much in fuel and servicing ($235 for rear brake pads, no machining, plus fitting, must have been magic pads)(coolant replaced at 45k service, must be poor quality coolant, holden change coolant at 100k and half the cost of hyundai) for this to be considered cheap motoring. Just to add, the passengers side seat belt is close to the most frustrating thing to connect you will ever find. And for a laugh try locking the van with the key fob, and keeping it locked, it is so sensitive any bump on the buttons unlocks the car. Are your tools insured in an unlocked vechile? Average fuel economy around town is a constant 12 - 12.5 l/100km. I don't remember seeing those numbers on the window sticker when i picked it up. Another drama is that any time warranty work is neccesary a request goes in to Hyundai from the dealer before the work can be done, wasting my time, and causing yet another visit for the work to be done.
I cannot be alone!

The Hyundai van (2008) Ive had has run relatively well until about 120k. After this Ive had the following problems - clutch has had to be replaced, front shocks replaced, Tapping sound in the engine & finally the engine seized and would not run. After spending an addition $10k even Hyundai couldn't fix the problem.
All this has happened even though ive serviced the van every 15,000km - additionally the services are very expensive compared to more established vans.
Having spoken to other ILoad owners they have experienced similar problems including having to replace complete engines.
My recommendation would be to avoid this van unless you are happy to get just 120,000km.
