Volkswagen has brought its excellent 4MOTION all-wheel-drive technology to the Caddy Maxi Life People Mover and Maxi Van commercial vehicle. Both drive all four wheels via Volkswagen’s equally high-tech six-speed direct-shift automatic transmission.
Volkswagen says the Caddy 4MOTION is the first in its segment to bring all-wheel-drive technology.
Power comes from Volkswagen’s 2.0-litre TDI engine providing 103kW/320Nm while returning fuel consumption as low as 6.8l/100kms.
Volkswagen’s 4MOTION system uses a multi-disc clutch developed by Sweden’s Haldex.
