No list of ‘The World’s Best Cars’ is complete without inclusion of the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. Now ‘Benz has just released the ‘S’ versions priced from $262,645 (four-door coupe) and $265,145 (‘Shooting Brake’ wagon).
Included in the ‘S’ package are 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, AMG sports seats, AMG body styling and exhaust, ‘Thermotronic’ and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Under the bonnet is the AMG 5.5-litre biturbo V8 petrol engine with 430kW/800Nm – enough to propel the sedan version from zero to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds or 4.2 seconds for the wagon (Shooting Brake) version.
Not enough? Well you’ll need the ‘Driver’s package’ which lifts the top speed from 250km/h to 300km/h.
Of course the CLS 63 AMG S comes with the full kit of ‘Benz technology including ‘Distronic Plus’ cruise control, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and more.
