Peugeot Launches 207 ‘Sportium’ Limited Edition

Peugeot has followed the lead of fellow French brand Citroen by sharpening the corporate pricing pencils.

Launch of the value-packed, limited edition, Peugeot 207 ‘Sportium’ is good news for buyers of European compact hatchbacks with prices starting at just $21,990.

The Peugeot 207 ‘Sportium’ is a five-door hatchback powered by a choice of 1.6-litre petrol or diesel engines. The petrol version is good for 88kW/160Nm, while the HDi diesel provides 80kW/240Nm.

Petrol versions offer either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, however the diesel only comes with a five-speed manual.

Extra features included in the Peugeot 207 ‘Sportium’ version include: 16-inch alloy wheels, sports bumpers, fog lights, rear parking sensors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, tailored carpet mats, privacy glass, alloy pedals, alloy door sills and ‘Dark Silk’ interior trim.

1.6-litre petrol manual $21,990
1.6-litre petrol automatic $23,990
1.6-litre diesel manual $25,190

The Peugeot 207 ‘Sportium’ sits between the entry-level XR model (priced from $19,990 and the range-topping XT version (priced from $23,990) however Peugeot dealers are currently offering XR models for $23,990 ‘Driveaway’ (the price includes statutory charges like stamp duty and compulsory third-party insurance).
