Peugeot Australia has lopped $2,000 from the price of most 207 models, with the entry-level XR hatchback now stickered below $20,000 at $19,990. With the exception of the sporty three-door GTi model (still priced at $33,490), all models in the Hatchback, Touring and Coupe-Cabriolet lineup score the $2,000 reduction.
The 207 is popular with Australian buyers, dominating its part of the market with 45 per cent of sales, and since late last year Peugeot has progressively introduced a number of specification upgrades. Some of the major ones include the standard fitment of six airbags and electronic stability program for all models, the ‘Outdoor’ (SUV style) Touring model, and Euro 5 emissions-compliant engines (diesel and petrol).

“These new price changes make every 207 model an even better value-for-money story than before,” explained Ken Thomas, Peugeot Australia’s General Manager. “And when you factor in the equipment upgrades made recently – including standard ESP across the range and the introduction of cleaner, greener Euro 5 compliant engines – you have an unbeatable proposition for those seeking a premium European motoring experience without the premium price.”
