Mercedes-Benz used the Paris Motor Show to wheel-out the latest lineup of its magnificently styled CLS four-door coupe.
The beautiful CLS goes on-sale locally next year.
Apart from its jaw-dropping good looks and even more luxurious interior, the CLS boasts a revised engine lineup with some powerplants delivering 25 per cent improvement in fuel consumption.
In Europe, the CLS will be available initially in January with two six cylinder engines – the 195kW 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY diesel and 225kW 350 BlueEFFICIENCY petrol (both with ECO start/stop).
Two months later, ‘Benz will launch the 250 four-cylinder turbo-diesel CLS 250 CDI, offering 150kW of power and fuel consumption of 5.1l/100kms.
The range-topping CLS500 with its 300kW BlueEFFICIENCY V8 petrol engine will follow in April.
As usual with Mercedes-Benz, the new CLS debuts ground-breaking technology – in this case the world’s first LED headlights with the company’s Intelligent Light System. The CLS features 12 intelligent driver assistance systems.
