Volkswagen Launches New Entry-Level Golf

You can now buy a Volkswagen Golf for around the same money as a Toyota Corolla thanks to the introduction of the Golf 77TSI.

Priced at $21,990 (six-speed manual) or $24,990 (seven-speed DSG automatic), the new 77TSI brings Volkswagen Golf affordability in Australia to levels enjoyed in Europe.

And there is no skimping on the equipment – the Volkswagen Golf 77TSI boasts seven airbags, ABS anti-lock brakes and Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) as standard.

The equipment level is Volkswagen’s ‘Trendline’ standard which includes cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear-lever, semi-automatic air-conditioning and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Power comes from Volkswagen’s turbocharged 1.2-litre TSI engine which returns fuel consumption as low as 6.1l/100kms and emissions of 144g/km
