Unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show and under evaluation for Australia, Range Rover has announced a special edition Evoque model created in collaboration with Victoria Beckham.
Only 200 of the limited edition Range Rover Evoque special edition are planned for production – perhaps because ‘Posh Spice’ is personally signing the hand-sewn Owners’ Manual leather wallet is each vehicle.
Each also comes with a bespoke four-piece leather luggage set.
We like the prospect of hand-finished matt paint for the exterior (a first for Range Rover) combining with Santorini gloss black detailing, the soft vintage inspired tan leather interior with Grand Black lacquers veneers and textured aluminium. But we’re not sure about the mohair floor mats, rose-gold plated grille, 20-inch alloy wheels and interior accents.
Amongst the other Victoria Beckham inputs are contrasting ‘baseball-style’ stitching for the four individual seats (a nod to her husband perhaps?) and the luggage set which comes from her own designer line.
Range Rover says the classic British design theme evident inside the Evoque Special Edition is further evidence of Victoria Beckham’s input.
There’s also a 17-speaker audio system from Britain’s Meridian brand with Trifold surround sound and Dual View technology for the front DVD screen.
Under the bonnet is Range Rover’s 177kW/340Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine.
First deliveries of the Victoria Beckham Special Edition Range Rover Evoque model are earmarked for China and Range Rover Australia says it will evaluate consumer reaction before further consideration of an Australian launch.
