Here’s the good news: BMW has updated the M3 and M4 with prices cut to $139,900 (M3), $149,900 (M4 Coupe) and $161,900 (M3 Convertible).
Here’s the extra good news: styling changes inside and out and extra technology.
Here’s the bad news…well there isn’t any.
By any measure the M3 and M4 represent the very best of BMW and now, courtesy of the goodies in this mid-life update and significant price reductions ($16K worth), the value-for-money equation has received a tremendous boost.
Pleasingly there are no changes under the bonnet – the 317kW/550Nm twin-turbocharged six-cylinder continues to sing its awesome tune.
You will notice the new LED lights front and rear (adaptive headlights).
Inside, the glorious Merino leather now extends to the instrument panel and glovebox and BMW Individual Leather becomes a no-cost option.
On the technology front, the updated models pick-up BMW Driving Assistant, a head-up display, lane departure warning and better connectivity.
