Although beaten to the chequered flag by Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes-Benz, Renault reinforced its F1 efforts at last weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix by unveiling its ‘TwinRun’ concept car.
The racy compact is a race car with a tubular chassis and mid-mounted V6 engine.
But from a production viewpoint, the TwinRun has every-day relevance as the French giant says it provides a pointer to an upcoming new line of compact city cars.
Now is they could develop a range-topper which keeps that V6 powerplant…well that’s a city compact we could love!
