History for Japan’s Suzuki brand last month with cumulative passenger car production beating 50-million vehicles.
Suzuki’s first vehicle was the Suzulight compact in 1955 and since then, 21.95-million Suzuki vehicles have been sold in Japan and 28.05-million have been sold in other global markets.
After Japan (44 per-cent), India is Suzuki’s strongest market (23 per-cent) followed by Europe (11 per-cent).
As well as its production facilities in Japan, Suzuki has 11 international factories in countries including Hungary, Thailand and Indonesia.
