At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Suzuki revealed its new compact SUV – the iV-4 with news its going into production in 2015.
Measuring415mm in length, the iV-4 continues Suzuki’s fascination with compact SUVs – a field in which the Japanese giant has excelled since the launch of the original LJ Series back in 1970 and subsequently the Vitara in 1988.
The iV-4 concept revealed in Frankfurt is faithful to previous Suzuki SUVs with its ‘clamshell’ bonnet and five-slot grille but incorporates interesting innovations such as the active front fog lights which are driven via roof-mounted laser sensor and next generation ALLGRIP 4WD technology.
No word on powerplants but Suzuki claims the production version will be light weight and eco-friendly and deliver the lowest CO2 emissions in its class.
