Good news for Suzuki Kizashi mid-size sedan and Grand Vitara mid-size SUV buyers – both now come standard with the safety of a reversing camera.
The camera is part of a new infotainment system with a colour 6.1-inch touch-screen display. Satellite navigation with lane guidance, speed limits and a customizable data menu is also included.
“Statistics show a number of accidents occur when reversing. We are delighted to offer the new Kizashi and Grand Vitara with this potentially life-saving feature,” revealed Suzuki Australia chief Tony Devers. Sadly his comments came just days after the death of another toddler, this time in Queensland, who was run-over in the home driveway while the family car (with no reversing camera) was being backed-out into the street.
Here at Car Showroom, we’re massive fans of the Suzuki Kizashi and these latest additions reinforce why mid-size sedan buyers shouldn’t just flock to the Korean brands.
