Every time we visit the Nissan-Renault HQ in the Melbourne suburb of Dandenong there’s a couple of electric Renault Fluence ZE sedans parked there re-charging.
Sadly the winding down of infrastructure suppler Better Place means that’s as far as the electric Fluence is going for now.
Better Place, the battery-swap company chosen by Renault Australia for the electric Fluence, is ending its Australian operations however the French giant is ‘boxing-on’ with electric cars and is working for a later introduction of the ground-breaking ZOE (which is currently selling a storm in Europe where its compact size and zero emissions make it ideal form crowded mega-cities like Paris and Rome).
So it’s case of: ‘watch this space’ for further electric vehicle news from Renault.
