Renault’s Revised Clio Unveiled

Renault will be offering their newly updated Clio with a more exclusive Edition One variant which is based upon the high-spec Intens version but adds various interior and exterior features and extras.

We’re not sure if Renault wants this Edition One naming scheme to become the norm with their new car releases, but perhaps they were really big fans of the Edition One series of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

The Edition One features unique 17-inch wheels, Renault’s Pure Vision full LED headlamps, and a body that’s finished in an exclusive pearlescent white matched to a black honeycomb roof decal. The pattern found is also use in the cabin – on the air vents, gear lever base.

The leather and velour upholstery is in a smoke grey colour that’s reserved for the special Clio. Inside, there’s a front central armrest where previously there was none and the steering wheel is wrapped in full grain leather. Topping it off is the 6-speaker Bose audio system that’s paired with the R-LINK2 infotainment unit.

This updated Clio will likely make its Aussie debut by the end of 2016 along with the hot RS version, but it’s not clear whether any Edition One units will be headed this way. In Europe, however, it’s currently being sold at €19,650 or around $29,000 AUD.
