Range Rover is set to capture headlines at next month’s Geneva Motor Show with the global debut of a concept Evoque Convertible.
Based on the three-door Range Rover Evoque Coupe, the convertible version runs a fully retractable roof with a rollover protection system. When folded, the roof is contained in a stylish rear section which includes a drop-down tailgate for luggage stowage.
The design maintains the standout looks which are the hallmark of Range Rover’s ground-breaking first compact SUV.
Range Rover says its convertible Evoque has been developed with minimal weight and torsional rigidity changes.
Wheels are unique 21-inch Titan alloys finished in a new metallic ‘Causeway Grey’ paint while inside the Range Rover Evoque runs the usual technology and luxury features – highlighted by new Lunar and Ivory trim and leather.
While there are currently no plans for a production version, Range Rover says it will evaluate feedback from Geneva.
