Like many European cities, Paris is lined with narrow streets which date back thousands of years – a nightmare for firefighters and other emergency services.
Enter the Renault Twizy.
The diminutive all-electric Twizy is now being tested by the Paris fire brigade.
Intended for early interventions ahead of the bigger trucks arriving, the firefighting Renault Twizy has its rear seat removed to store two fire extinguishers, two oxygen tanks, a fire suit, helmet and first-aid kit.
The Twizy will also be used at special events – such as New Years Eve and 14 July – when access for full-on fire trucks is problematic.
