Not debuting at the Paris Motor Show and as yet not confirmed for local sale, Opel’s handsome new convertible is called 'Cascada' which we’re told is derived from the Spanish word for waterfall.
The mid-size convertible certainly looks elegant, it’s 4.7-metre body featuring nice sculpturing and delivers an athletic on-road presence.
Opel says the soft-top can be opened at speeds up to 50km/h.
The Cascada joins two other all-new models heading to Opel - the Mokka compact SUV and Adam compact car (the latter to debut in Paris). That’s proof of significant expansion from General Motor’s German subsidiary which has just opened its dealership doors in this market.
Opel Australia is currently studying the viability of the Cascada for local sale.
