General Motors’ German brand Opel has confirmed the stylish, all-new Mokka compact SUV will be launched in Australia during Spring.
Power comes from a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine driving through either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed auto. Opel says the local lineup will include front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants.
Inside, the five-seat Opel Mokka is all modern with the hallmark wing-shaped instrument panel and sculptured surfaces in the door trims.
Typical of the latest European SUVs, the Opel Mokka will boast an impressive arsenal of technology including the second-generation ‘Opel Eye’ front camera system with Forward Collision Alert and Land Departure Warning plus ‘AFL+’ – Opel’s adaptive forward lighting system.
Eagle-eyed Car Showroom readers may see some Opel Mokkas on local roads in coming month as some advance models have arrived for local testing.
Opel will announce full specifications and pricing closer to launch.
