Mazda and Ford are working hard to finalize specifications of two very important all-new utes – the BT50 and Ranger.
In the latest insight into its new range, Mazda says the all-new BT50 will afford more passenger and cargo space that any previous Mazda ute.
And with a towing capacity up to 3,350kgs, the all-new Mazda BT50 certainly sounds like an ideal ute for work or recreation.
Thanks to a wheelbase 220mm longer than the current model, the all-new Mazda BT50 will be more spacious up-front (16mm more head room and 30mm more shoulder room), while back seat passengers in the crew cab versions will enjoy an extra 55mm of leg room.
There’s also massive increases in overall size – 204mm longer and 43 mm wider.
And with a cargo tray measuring 1,549mm by 1,560mm, the all-new Mazda BT50 gains 178-litres in cargo volume – up to 1,214mm.
The all-new Mazda BT50 and Ford Ranger utes go on-sale locally later this year.
