Volvo’s upscale S90 sedan broke cover at the Detroit Auto Show ahead of local sales launch in August.
As you would expect, Volvo’s S80 replacement is much larger all-round and doesn’t pull-up short in the technology department including semi-autonomous driving (‘Pilot Assist’ as we know from the all-new XC90) and large animal detection (well this car does come from the land of the moose).
Under the bonnet is another item familiar from Volvo’s award-winning SUV – the T8 Twin-Engine plug-in hybrid.
Other engines are the 2.0-litre D4 turbodiesel (142kW/400Nm), the 2.0-litre D5 diesel (175kW/480Nm) and the twincharged T6 petrol (239kW/400Nm).
Full Australian specifications and prices will be released closer to launch.
