BMW Australia certainly has some influence at its German head office – the company has just launched the M3 ‘Pure Edition’ model which is exclusive to Australia.
Just 100 of the BMW M3 Pure Edition will be produced – available in sedan and coupe variants - tailored to enthusiast drivers.
Deliveries will start next year with the 50 M3 Sedan Pure Edition priced at $135,000 and the 50 M3 Coupe Pure Edition priced at $148,300.
Standard colours for the BMW M3 Pure Edition are Alpine White and Black, however other colours can be selected as extra-cost options. Inside is a unique combination of black leather and anthracite, with seat headrests in Novillo leather and embossed with the BMW M symbol.
Externally, there’s 19-inch M double-spoke alloy wheels, finished exclusively in high gloss black, a cool-air intake on the bonnet (also black high gloss) and grille, side sills and exhaust tips all from BMW Individual and finished in dark chrome.
No changes for the superb 309kW/400Nm 4.0-litre V8 engine which drives the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and BMW M differential lock.
