Anticipation is reaching fever-pitch for the all-new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG – probably the world’s best high-performance compact sedan and wagon.
And to keep us transfixed, news from Affalterback, Germany today that the all-new C 63 AMG will be powered by a new AMG 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine related to the unit under the bonnet of the stunning all-new Mercedes-AMG GT sports car.
With 336kW/700Nm, the bi-turbo V8 aces the current C 63 AMG which provides ‘only’ 336kW/600Nm from its atmo 6.2-litre V8.
Just as impressive is fuel consumption – 8.2l/100kms for the new bi-turbo V8 versus 12.1l/100kms for the current model.
