A simplified model range with extra features and technology plus some mild styling changes highlight the updated 2016 model year changes for the superb Range Rover Evoque.
The standout premium compact SUV now has model nomenclatures to match the Range Rover Sport – ‘Pure’, ‘SE’, ‘HSE’ and range-topping ‘Dynamic’.
Plus there are 10 option packs which provide even greater opportunities for individualization.
Styling changes see a new front bumper and grille and four new alloy wheel designs.
All-LED headlights are optional.
Inside are new seats and door linings, new colours and materials plus a new infotainment system with an eight-inch touchscreen.
And big news under the bonnet with the introduction of the first ‘Ingenium’ turbo-diesel engine which is Euro-6 compliant and delivers 132kW of power as well as fuel consumption of just 4.4l/100kms.
Entry-level Pure models now feature as standard torque vectoring (except in the eD4 model), auto headlights and wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear air vents, front/rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, the eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system and satellite navigation.
SE models replace the current ‘Pure Tech’ grade and, over the Pure models add the nine-speed automatic transmission, ‘Active’ driveline (except the Td4 150), electric/heated exterior mirrors, electronic seat adjustment, carpet floor mats, keyless entry, interior mood lighting and remote tailgate opening.
Range Rover Evoque HSE boasts inclusions such as a head-up display, configurable interior mood lighting, auto recirculation climate-control air-conditioning and electric seats with memory function.
HSE Dynamic goes further with bonnet vents, 19-inch alloy wheels, Oxford leather seats and steering wheel and tread plates with an illuminated Range Rover logo. You can also fit an ebony headliner for no extra cost.
