5 Star ANCAP Safety For Ahead of its local launch, the all-new Volkswagen Golf has been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating by Australia’s ANCAP.
While the official rating applies to all petrol models of the Golf VII (diesels unrated) the result is no surprise following a similar rating by EuroNCAP.
Volkswagen being Volkswagen, the all-new model of its best-selling vehicle was never going to come to market with anything less than ‘world’s best’ safety technology. In fact all Volkswagen Golf models from the Golf V back in 2005 have been five-star ANCAP rated.
For the all-new Golf VII, Volkswagen says the broad range of safety assist technologies (SAT) places it ahead of current global safety requirements.
Radar-based adaptive cruise control, city emergency braking and the new multi-collision barking system are just some of the armada of safety technologies jammed into the all-new Volkswagen Golf.
