Kia’s enigmatic chief designer, the enigmatic German Peter Schreyer, has released ‘teaser’ sketches of the all-new Kia Rio.
The latest version of Kia’s big-selling compact car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Kia says the all-new Rio will be longer, lower and wider than the current model with its powerful, bold design targeting young new car buyers.
Like the praised Kia Cerato and Sportage, the all-new Rio takes on a much more fluidic look which will deliver a more substantial on-road presence.
Inside, Mr Schreyer explains the new Kia Rio will highlight extra space and cabin materials will be up-market so Rio buyers will feel they’ve stepped up a segment.
Kia Australia will be keen for the all-new Rio to join its local lineup to provide entry-level support for its slightly larger – and outstanding – Cerato models. This is a new model to look forward to.
