Buyers of Volkswagen’s highly-rated Amarok ute looking for a bit of extra sporty pizzaz need to move fast as only 500 of the limited edition Atacama model are headed this way.
Developed by Volkswagen Commercial vehicles at the Amarok plant in Brazil, the limited edition Atacama model is based on the already well-equipped TDI400 Selectable 4MOTION manual and TDI420 Permanent 4MOTION automatic models.
These come standard with features including satellite navigation and front/rear park distance control.
The Atacama versions add 18-inch ‘Durban’ black alloy wheels with Bridgestone 255/60 R18 rubber, Bi-Xenon headlights with LED DRLs, black sports bar and side steps, black rear step bumper and the ‘Durabed tubliner.
