The good-looking all-new Kia Sorento arrives in Australia later this year backed by both the maximum five-star Euro NCAP rating and a ‘Top safety Pick’ from North America’s Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
With its stronger bodyshell and impressive list of passive and active safety equipment, the all-new third generation Kia Sorento scored a “Good” rating is each of the tough IIHS crash test parameters.
Compared to the current model, the all-new Kia Sorento uses 28.3 per-cent more ultra-high tensile steel in its bodyshell so it’s stronger and, with torsional rigidity up by 14 per-cent it will deliver improved ride and handling.
As well, the all-new Kia Sorento runs much stronger A- and B-pillars thanks to six per-cent more ultra-strong hot-stamped steel.
And with Vehicle Stability Management standard as part of the Electronic Stability Control as well as electric motor-driven power steering and available adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert and speed limit information function…well the all-new Kia Sorento has a lot to keep you safe.
