Peugeot isn’t missing-out on the action at next month’s Geneva Motor Show – the updated 208 will star.
While detailed local specifications are still being finalized ahead of launch late this year, in Europe the updated Peugeot 208 is headlined by a new 1.2-litre ‘PureTech’ petrol engine in 62kW and 83kW guise which drives through either a five-speed manual or a new AISIN-sourced six-speed automatic transmission.
The 124kW and 156kW 1.6-litre are the petrol engines for the updated Peugeot 208.
New technology inclusions kick-off with a reversing camera, park assist active city brake and ‘Mirrorscreen’ which can duplicate the screen of your smartphone on the 208’s dashboard touchscreen.
Peugeot will also introduce the updated 208 in ‘GT Line’ and ‘GTi By Peugeot Sport’ models – which sound appealing.
Styling sees more muscle from a new front bumper, wider grille (Including the 3D-look ‘Equalizer’ grille), two-tone headlights and signature LED lights.
At the rear are new 3D LED ‘claw’ lights.
There’s also new 15-inch, 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The car shown is painted in ‘Metallic Orange Power’ – an addition to the 13 available paint colours for the updated Peugeot 208.
