Audi has launched a revised R8 sports car range in Europe ahead of Australian sales in the first quarter of next year.
Most noticeable are the new LED headlights and rear indicator lights but the big news is a new range-topping model – the R8 V10 plus which drives through an all-new seven-speed S tronic transmission.
Other visual changes are a new grille and new side louvers and vents plus a new rear diffuser.
Engines remain the 316kW/430Nm 4.1-litre V8 and the stunning 386kW/530Nm V10. However the Audi R8 V10 plus delivers 404kW/540Nm.
Transmissions are the new seven-speed S tronic (standard on the V19, optional on the V8) and six-speed manual (standard on the V8, optional on the V10). The new seven-speeder is technical masterpiece – a three-shaft layout which is less than 60cm in length.
Audi R8 V10 plus also scores unique springs and dampers.
