Ahead of her time at the celebrity challenge she answered a few questions:

What do you enjoy most about your career?

I love that I have been able to carve out a career doing something that I love.

What are you up to now and what is coming up
for you?

I have spent the last few months between Australia, the States and Europe. I qualified for the Olympics, competed in the X-Games and then went to Sochi.

Tell us about your first car.

I was spoilt … it was a Toyota Furvetta in the States, I was a 16 year old girl learning to drive and it was the best thing in the world. I had wheels, I had freedom. I named my car ‘Strider’, I loved him – I
only let go of him last year.

How would you describe yourself as a driver?

I would like to say I’m a good driver … responsible and respectful to others on the road. But there is a time and a place when you can go fast and have some fun and I love to go fast! This has been a dream of mine for many years.

What does racing in the Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge mean to you and what are you looking
forward to most?

Racing in the Celebrity Challenge has been a dream of mine for many, many years. I love going fast and I love anything with a motor and I want to be a race car driver one day. Just to be able to participate in this and to be able to have this experience is a highlight of my life.

You’ll learn an array of new driving skills during Driver Training, what are you most looking forward to learning and why?

Everything. I did a rally course a couple of years ago, just one day, and I realised then you need to understand the way a car works mechanically to know how to drive it properly so I am excited to really get some intense days in there and be taught exactly how you handle a car properly.

How do you think you’ll go in the Mazda3 Celebrity Challenge? What are your expectations?

I don’t really have any expectations, I just want to have a hell of a time and that’s kind of the way I go into every competition I do. I don’t consider myself an uber competitive person but I have to admit when I get behind the wheel of a car I want to win! I have never raced cars before, I’ve done some go-karting, but that’s about it … I want to win.

Do you know anyone that has competed in the Celebrity Challenge before? If yes, what advice have they provided? If not, who would you most likely call on for tips and why?

I don’t know anyone who has competed personally. In regards to tips, I’m sure my dad will sit me down and tell me how it is. I would call Ken Block – the rally car driver – ask him for tactics and how to
handle other drivers on the race track.

If you could choose any other celebrity to be your co-driver in this adventure who would it be?

I would choose Craig Lowndes.

Do you follow Formula One? What’s your favourite Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix or Formula One memory or experience?

I definitely turn it on and watch it when I can. I have been invited to the Monaco Grand Prix before but was unable to go so, this will be my first Formula One event.

Who is your favourite Formula One driver?

Marco Andretti.

What do you think of the All-New Mazda3?

It’s beautiful, it’s very sleek. Now I know it looks good I am really keen to drive it and see how it handles
