Subaru XV Awarded Five-Star Euro NCAP Safety Rating

Subaru’s all-new XV compact SUV has been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating in the latest round of barrier testing by EuroNCAP.

Australian new car buyers can get their hands on the Subaru XV from next January, and we’re sure everyone will be more than satisfied with the maximum five-star safety rating even though the vehicle tested in Europe was a European specification, left-hand-drive 2.0i model Subaru XV (the local ANCAP will double-up the process by crash-testing an Australian specification, right-hand-drive Subaru XV during 2012 – a bit superfluous we would have thought).

EuroNCAP’s latest, more stringent barrier tests study adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, pedestrian protection and safety assist asystems.

Currently every Subaru vehicle sold in Australia carries the maximum five-star rating from the local ANCAP and – given the rating of the all-new XV by EuroNCAP – Subaru expects a similar result.
