Subaru gave a clear pointer to its future direction when it unveiled the XV concept vehicle at the Auto Shanghai motor show.
Measuring 4450mm in length and 1800mm in width, the Subaru XV concept is another ‘crossover’ vehicle – so obviously Subaru sees this market segment still going strongly.
Subaru XV is a good-looking five-seater and in Shanghai looked almost production ready.
The front end features Subaru’s new corporate hexagonal grille and distinctive, angular headlights. Black lower bumpers and wheel arch extensions highlight the Subaru XV’s crossover nature.
An interesting touch is the continuous glass roof with metallic and clear finish roof rails.
As usual, the Subaru XV employs a 2.0-litre Boxer engine driving all four wheels via Subaru’s symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive system.
