Probably previewing Australian specifications, Subaru has confirmed its ground-breaking BRZ sports car will be launched in Britain in two model grades.
Priced from £24,995 (about $AU39,000) the British version of the Subaru BRZ will be sold in entry-level ‘SE’ and range-topping ‘SE Lux’ versions.
Both are highly equipped with keyless entry, push-button start and six-speaker audio with the ‘SE Lux’ model’s extras highlighted by heated leather seats. Satellite navigation is available as a £1,000 ($AU1,600) option.
Powered by a 2.0-litre version of Subaru’s boxer engine (with Toyota direct injection), the Subaru BRZ drives via either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters.
Toyota Australia will launch its twin – the Toyota 86 – locally in the first week of June.
