SsangYong will show its XIV-2 soft-top compact SUV at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
SsangYong says XIV-2 stands for (eXiting User Interface Vehicle 2) and it is the foundation of an all-new premium crossover blending an open-top sports coupe with a robust SUV.
The SsangYong XIV-2 measures 4,166mm in length, 1,820mm in width, 1,566mm in height and provides a 2,600mm wheelbase.
Power will come from 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines.
Combine SsangYong’s off-road 4WD credentials with a one-touch folding roof and modern three-door body style and clearly the XIV-2 is targeting young compact SUV buyers rather than older ‘downsizers’ who might prioritize towing their caravan.
