Seven months after being purchased by Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker, Swedish brand Saab has confirmed it will establish a wholly-owned subsidiary to manage the brand’s sales and service in Australia and New Zealand.
Until now, Saab’s local operations were under the umbrella of previous owner General Motors (Holden) - the company’s Executive Director of Sales, Adrian Hallmark, has confirmed the existing dealer network will be maintained and customer service will continue with no change while the transition to new ownership takes place.
In Europe, Saab has already announced some new models – the 9-5 and 9-4x - plus a four-cylinder engine deal which will see BMW supply engines sourced from its British manufacturing plant.
