Parent company BMW was the car company of the London Olympics but for car enthusiasts, BMW-owned Rolls-Royce made the headlines at the spectacular closing ceremony Monday morning (Australian time).

Three Rolls-Royce Series II Drophead Coupes were part of the closing ceremony action and close inspection shocked Roll-Royce enthusiasts.

For the first time in 108 years, Rolls-Royce has shown a new logo, replacing the traditional ‘RR’ which dates back to 1904.

At the front, the ‘Spirit Of Ecstasy’ lady’s flowing gown has been replaced by a Union Jack and inside the three Drophead Coupes ran ‘London 2012’ logos, laurel wreaths and the Olympic Motto (“Faster, Higher, Stronger’) on their steering wheel hubs and wheel centres.

Created by Rolls-Royce Bespoke, the three closing ceremony models could become the most collectable (and unobtainable) Rolls-Royces ever.
