Rolls Royce bids farewell to their two door Phantoms with just 50 special edition examples.

To give two-door Phantoms their deserving send-off swansong, Rolls-Royce has introduced a special Zenith Collection of 50 vehicles to cap off the marque’s seventh-generation Phantom. Obviously, it will cost a lot of money, but the specifics of which were not detailed.

As is to be expected, the Phantom Zenith Collection entitles its owner to levels of luxury far removed from the necessary. An example would be the car’s split tailgate which houses a champagne bottle and glass storage along with a boot which also has a bottle fridge built into it.

Rolls-Royce offers the Phantom Zenith Collection in some bespoke paint finishes (Madeira red, Jubilee Silver, along with a new kind of Midnight Blue and Arctic White) which is given an extra layer of clear glass coating for that mirror finish required of such expensive metal.

A plaque of polished aluminium on the car’s centre stack reiterates the Zenith Collection’s exclusivity, on it is the Zenith Collection’s identification number engraved via lasers.

First entering the market in 2008, Rolls Royce now has a replacement for its 7th-gen Phantom – the first car to come out of the automaker after BMW took the reins. The new flagship will be built upon an all-new aluminium architecture that will set the template for an entirely new generation of ultra- luxury vehicles, possibly accompanied by more powerful and cleaner burning engines.

Torsten Muller-Otvos said of the Phantom Zenith Collection: “As we begin to write a bold new chapter in Rolls-Royce history, I am delighted to present a Bespoke Collection that so elegantly celebrates two of the world’s rarest and most celebrated luxury goods; Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé. Phantom Zenith Collection motor cars speak of the marque’s unrelenting commitment to setting and advancing the standard by which all other luxury goods are judged.”
