A leaked picture has emerged on social media, specifically from French audio equipment manufacturer Focal, of a darkened car that upon some brightening, reveals what looks to be the a clear(ish) look at the next Peugeot 3008.

Clearly, Focal has been tapped to provide a premium audio experience for the French car, probably as an optional extra or reserved for the top spec variant.

The second-generation 3008 is due for an official unveil tomorrow so Focal isn’t that far off the mark by sharing a very dark picture on their official Facebook page. It also means that, though a leak this may be, the mystery surrounding Peugeot’s next crossover won’t be a much of a veil within 24 hours.

The French automaker has already teased their next 3008’s interior which sees the debut of their i-Cockpit 2.0 dashboard design, an evolution from the original tiered layout seen in the current 308 and 208.

Speaking of the 308, the 3008 shares some styling cues and its underpinnings with Peugeot’s mid-size hatchback in the form of the EMP2 platform, meaning that Peugeot could be planning a facelifted 308 with an updated interior to also feature the i-Cockpit 2.0 layout and digital instrument display.

It also follows that the upcoming 3008 will likely mirror the 308’s petrol and diesel engines as well as transmission options. We’ll find out more soon when Peugeot takes the wraps off its new crossover.
