Maserati’s all-new Quattroporte model has a new entry-level variant – the twin-turbo V6-powered Quattroporte S priced at $240,000.

Lighter, more powerful, larger, more spacious and more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, the V6-powered Quattrporte is set to become Maserati’s biggest-selling model.
Or as Maserati Australia/New Zealand boss Glen Sealey put it: “The new Quattroporte S takes Maserati into a new area of the market, delivering Maserati’s unique combination of exclusivity, style and performance at a previously unavailable price and it does so without any loss in ability or the features that lift Maserati above the common herd.

Translation: At $240,000, now more than ever, buyers of upscale Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi models must consider this Italian masterpiece.
A proprietary engine, developed just for Maserati and assembled at the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy, the 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 is a close relation of the all-new 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 and delivers 301kW of power at 5500rpm and peak torque of 550Nm between 1750-5000rpm.
Drive is to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
Zero to 100km/h takes 5.1 seconds and combined cycle fuel consumption is rated at 10.4l/100kms.

As we know, the latest Maserati Quattroporte (both V6 and V8) boasts an all-new look and rides on a new platform which is shared with the upcoming Ghibli and levanter models. The architecture provides a double wishbone front end, multi-link rear and almost 50:50 weight distribution.
Inside, the Quattroporte provides four individual seats or there’s a five-seat layout – all with the traditional Maserati craftsmanship and elegance. There also reversing cameras, the Maserati Touch Control screen and an available 15-speaker, 1280 Watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
On the specification front, the Maserati Quattroporte S is much the same as the GTS model – except the standard 19-inch wheels are a different design and in the interior leather is a different style.
