More grunt, extra airbags and a simplified model range highlight Mitsubishi’s updated Triton ute range.
But for most tradies it’s the high-performance 131kW/400Nm diesel engine for the GLX Double Cab which is the biggest news – lifting Triton to a level which now rivals opposition utes.
Double Cab Triton models also gain side and curtain airbags (six ‘bags now standard) and front seats gain extra travel for enhanced legroom.
There’s also new interior trims and fabrics, new steel wheels and new design wheel flares and side steps.
“With a high powered turbo-diesel engine, a range of safety systems and numerous upgrades the Triton performs as both a rugged workhorse and a comfortable family vehicle. The streamlined MY13 line-up makes it even easier to choose the right Triton for the job,” revealed Mitsubishi Australia chief Mutsuhiro Oshikiri.
