An all-new Mercedes-Benz SL Coupe will arrive before the end of the year and the German giant has started the news trail.
‘Benz says the glorious new SL will feature extensive use of aluminium in its bodyshell and magnesium for the rear panels – dropping the all-up weight by 140kgs compared to the current version.
It wouldn’t be Mercedes-Benz without an avalanche of new technology and included in the SL’s specifications is a new windscreen washer system called ‘Magic Vision Control’ which delivers washer fluid directly to the wiper blade to clean the windscreen without a jet of water. The new bodyshell also includes a ‘FrontBass’ system for the audio which Mercedes says is a world-first delivering high-quality sound whether the roof is open or closed.
