The new Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG – unquestionably the world’s best premium hatchback– will be priced at $74,900 when it goes on-sale in Australia in September.
Equipped with the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder engine (the 265kW/450Nm turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol), the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG drives all four wheels via AMG 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive and accelerates from zero to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
Styling gets the full AMG treatment - including superb 19-inch alloy wheels and glorious sports seats – and the expected technology overload is on full display with DISTRONIC PLUS adaptive cruise control as well as lane-keeping and blind spot assist.
Interestingly, the A 45 is the first AMG vehicle to use a four-cylinder engine.
