Early next year, Mercedes-Benz’ performance partner AMG turns 45 and, to celebrate, the company has announced it will unveil the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG.
Most details remain under wraps, but AMG has let slip it historic first compact car will be powered by an AMG turbocharged 2.0-litre engine with torque in excess of 400Nm.
Drive will be to all four wheels via the AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed twin-clutch automotaic transmission.
Benz says the A 45 AMG will bring a raft of younger buyers into the AMG family and the new model is slated for launch in the first quarter of next year.
