BMW’s handy M2 Coupe already bids for top honours in the high-performance compact coupe segment but things really kick-on from next month with the availability of some new parts from the motorsport-based ‘M’ division.
On the inside you can choose from the likes of an ‘Interior Kit Carbon’(the gear-lever, centre console and park brake in carbon fibre/Alcantara, or an F1 style carbon fibre-trimmed M Performance steering wheel with an integrated ‘race display’ and menu buttons in the thumb recesses (also available are more conventional steering wheels in Alcantara/leather with the hallmark red/blue stitching).
On the mechanical front, you can order an ‘M Performance’ exhaust system in stainless steel (80mm) or carbon fibre (93mm) and a Jaguar-like ‘flap’ silencer with noise settings for track or street use, as wellas adjustable sports suspension and race circuit brake pads.
Bodywork sees some aerodynamic parts made from carbon fibre – front and side sill attachments, grille and rear diffuser.
