Following the Australian F1 Grand Prix and the return of the famed British sports car manufacturer to F1 racing, Lotus Cars Australia has used the Federal Government’s 2010 duty cut and favourable movements in foreign currency exchange rates to provide major price reductions across the model range.
The reductions of $10,000 or $18,000 significantly enhance the value of Lotus’ excellent lineup.
Entry to the Lotus squad, the Elise S, gets a facelift and renaming to Elise but retains its $69,990 sticker. Elise R ($84,990) and Elise SC ($94,990) both benefit from $10,000 price reductions.
Exige S ($104,990) and Exige Cup 260 ($129,990) have also gone down by $10,000 while the 2-Eleven model has been reduced by $18,000 to $109,000.
Both of the new Evora models have been slashed by $10,000 – 2+0 is now $139,990 and the 2+2 is $146,990.
Of the limited edition Lotus models, the Elise Club racer remains unchanged at $72,990 but the Exige Scura benefits from a $10,000 price cut – now at $129,990. The new Exige S Type 72 joins the range priced at $109,990.
