Mazda Australia has secured 40 examples of the limited-edition MX-5 25th Anniversary model and they’re now arriving in local dealerships.
Only 1,000 25th Anniversary Edition Mazda MX-5s – first revealed at the New York Motor Show in April – are slated for production and 13 of the Australian allocation have already been reserved by local buyers.
Mazda Australia captured 24 manual models and 16 with automatic transmissions in the rush to secure an allocation of the strictly limited edition 25th Anniversary Mazda MX-5.
Each comes with a set of his-and-her Tourneau commemorative wristwatches.
The 25th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 is exclusively painted in Mazda’s ‘Soul Red’ paint colour (a first for MX-5) with the roof, A-pillars and door mirrors in gloss black.
Inside is off-white leather for the seats and door trims with the central arm rest, steering wheel and gear lever in black leather. There’s also some red highlights and stainless steel scuff plates with the 25th Anniversary logo.
Each car is individually numbered.
