Lexus unveiled its LF-C2 convertible coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show and although officially dubbed a ‘concept’ it looks ready for production with some suggesting we’re looking at a new variant of the RC Coupe (regular versions launch next week so look for a first drive on www.carshowroom.com.au on Wednesday).
The Lexus LF-C2 shown in LA was painted in an evocative multi-layer golden yellow which highlights its many curves and powerful front-end. We expect the version of the spindle grille on the concept car will be replaced by a toned-down version in production.
Inside, the show car was trimmed in beautiful white/grey leather but we suspect the full-length LED lights below the windows will be jettisoned in the production model.
Lexus did not provide details on the roof structure (the car shown in LA did not have one) but the smart money is on a folding metal roof.
