Lexus Australia has launched the new RC 200t, improved GS and a updated LX SUV in Australia.
The Lexus RC 200t follows the RC coupe that was launched almost 12 months ago.The 2016 Lexus RC 200t is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo engine, that can be found in the NX, IS and RX models.
Lexus has discontinued the the V6-powered GS 250 and replaced it with the GS 200t to the model line-up the utilities the same 2.0-litre engine. The 2016 Lexus Range now comprises the new GS 200t plus the GS 300h, GS 350 and GS 450h.
As part the 2016 GS line-up Lexus has restyled front end, upgraded multimedia technology, added new exterior paint colours, interior trim and ornamentation selections.
The large Lexus LX 570 has also received a major upgrade for 2016 with only roof and doors carried over from the previous model.
The 2016 Lexus LX750 receive the family spindle grille as well as redesigned interior to help provide a more upmarket feel.
Inside Lexus has added an updated multimedia system with high definition 12.3-inch screen and Remote Touch Interface.
Under the hood the old six-speed auto is out replaced with a new eight-speed transmission, it also receive the Drive Mode Select system allowing the driver to select the best mode of powertrain and suspension responses to suit their driving needs.
The Lexus LX 570 has a new set 20-inch split 10-spoke wheels as standard and a there are also optional21-inch 10-spoke for a more powerful look.
Speaking at the launch of the updated models Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley spoke about the additions to the Lexus line-up
"The launch of three new vehicles, including two new turbo variants, provides customers with a wider choice and broadens our presence in important segments," Mr Hanley said.
"The upgrades to LX 570 are extensive, raising the bar even further for this most impressive of vehicles.
"GS also features a range of important updates and the addition of the GS 200t model will deliver new levels of performance and efficiency in the GS midsize sedan.
"The new RC 200t model is an ideal entry level model in the RC coupe line, delivering outstanding performance," Mr Hanley added.
